The Orchard Project
Young Carers Group
The Orchard Young Carers project was developed as a partnership between
Barnardo's and
Social Services in County Durham. This came after an
acknowledgment of the potential number of
children and young people caring for
other family members in the Derwentside and
Easington Districts. It was recognised that the needs of many of these children
and young people were not being met and this project aims to help young carers
access services and resources and provides both practical and emotional support.
